The brief
From 2016-2023 Jonathan Sriranganathan was The Gabba Ward Councillor, representing 40,000+ residents on Brisbane’s inner-south side. He’s also a writer, musician and performance poet. Jonno’s office mixed activism with electoral politics, with an emphasis on green politics, anarchism/ communalism/ municipalism, and anti-racist/ anti-colonial struggles. His office comms were designed to reflect the ethos of his office.

The illustrations
One of the best bits of doing Jonno’s design was getting to work with some amazing local illustrators. Most illustrations here are by Anna Carlson, unless otherwise credited.
