bold and colourful comms connecting residents to jonno’s gabba ward office

Who?
For seven years Brisbane City Council’s The Gabba Ward Councillor was Jonathan Sriranganathan, representing 40 000+ residents on the city’s inner-south side. He’s also a writer, musician and performance poet.

The brief
Jonno’s office mixed activism with electoral politics, with an emphasis on green politics, anarchism/ communalism/ municipalism, and anti-racist/ anti-colonial struggles. His office comms were designed to reflect the ethos of his office.

The illustrations
One of the best bits of doing Jonno’s design was getting to work with some amazing local illustrators. Most illustrations here are by Anna Carlson, unless otherwise credited.
